  • More than one post-doc (or a combination of a post-doc and research assistant), as long as the maximum funding of € 250.000 is not exceeded, and the research assistant’s contribution is not larger than that of the post-doc(s).
  • A budget-neutral extension is possible until after December 2023. A request should be sent to the ABC’s Board of Directors.

If the to be appointed post-doc(s) is/are already known, their CV should be added.

Who can submit

The proposal should be submitted by a full ABC member, with an at least 0.5 FTE appointment at UvA or AMC (not the to be appointed Post doc(s)), and include information about the content and innovativeness of the project, possible collaborations within the ABC and in which faculty the Post doc(s) will be appointed.

  • Female PI’s are especially encouraged to apply.
  • The grant consists of a lump sum of €250k. The faculty where the Post doc(s) will be appointed should match any exceeding of this budget.
  • Proposals will only be considered if there is no ongoing ABC Project or Talent funding in the name of the main applicant at the time of submission. Thus, if the main applicant for a Project Grant 2022 is 2nd or 3rd partner on an ongoing ABC funded grant, she or he is eligible to apply.
  • Applicants can only participate in one proposal.
