Submission Guidelines

ABC Journal

ABC Journal is an academic archive that highlights research conducted by students of the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Master programme at the University of Amsterdam. Accepted articles are not accessible on online academic search engines such as PubMed or Google, and acceptance at ABC Journal does not preclude publication in professional journals or any other scientific outlet.

The best articles will be selected for full text coverage in the ABC Journal. The supervisors of the articles selected for full text coverage will be contacted and asked for approval for the text to be added to the ABC Journal.

Manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.
  • Only empirical research will be accepted (i.e. research projects). Literature reviews will not be accepted.
  • Manuscripts have to be submitted as a single text file (.doc, .docx or .odt).

Along with the manuscript, the author(s) should include:

  • All original figures used in the manuscript (.jpg, .jpeg, .bmp or .png) in their original resolution. Figures should also be included in the text; these are used for reference during editing.
  • A running title of 50 characters (max).
