Neurotechnology: New avenues to advance fundamental neuroscience and address brain disorders
Neurotechnological developments are disrupting the way in which the brain is studied and its disorders are diagnosed and treated.
This Summer School will provide a deep dive into the frontier of neurotechnology, aiming to bridge the divide between fundamental science and clinical methods.
During a 10-day full-time programme, from June 16 – 26, students will have the opportunity to attend lectures from top experts in the development of neurotechnologies and their application in science and therapy.
Topics that will be covered are high-resolution imaging methods, new probes for large-scale electrophysiology, methods to selective modulate neural activity and close-loop approaches. All topics will be addressed with a multi-scale, cross-species perspective. During workshops, students will have the opportunity to dive deeper into selected topics and get hands-on experience. The Summer School culminates in an International Symposium on the future avenues of neurotechnology.
Where: The ABC Summer School will take place at Amsterdam Roeterseiland Campus.
By whom: This summerschool is organised by the University of Amsterdam FNWI and FMG) and the Technical University of Delft.
